Kirsten writes about her SQ built audio system S40; The first modification I did was to put an aftermarket spoiler on it, and then the 'modification bug' hit with the help of my boyfriend. I won a car audio prize through Hot4s Magazine in 2001, where I got to choose $2500 of Sony Xplod car audio equipment of my choice.  This enabled me to get the Sony ABP CD tuner, two 2ch amps (2x150RMS) and 10 disc
stacker.  My boyfriend then gave me the 12" Sony sub pictured for my birthday, and then it was sometime later before we got the installation going.

In April we had a big car show over here, and my car was entered in the sound off competitions.  As the car is a SQ car, I didn't plan on going into SPL until after the SQ comp (in which I came 3rd in the 301-600W class) the judges told me I could do pretty good in SPL too.  Well how does 137.4dB sound from one 12" in a sedan tuned for SQ!!

The purple airbrushed flame you see was put on the day before the show as nothing had been done much to the exterior of the car.  Now everyone in Perth recognises my car from the graphic!! Just recently I had the Honda S2000 starting system installed, and I'm waiting for my woodgrain Momo gear knob to arrive.

Future mods: 18" wheels, engine mods / turbo, more audio gear.

Hope this is all the info you need.
